Marks entry

Teachers enter, every change is kept. Who changed a mark, from what, and when, is always on record.

How it works

A mark sheet that can’t go wrong quietly.

Teachers enter their own subjects in a grid. Here is a test, from a blank sheet to locked marks.

After a test

  1. Open your group. Only the subjects and sections given to you.
  2. Type down the column. Enter moves down. A for absent, E for exempt, M for medical.
  3. Watch the total. Each row shows its total and grade as you type. A mark above the maximum is refused.
  4. Hand it in. A sheet with a blank cell can’t go. Once in, it is locked for the teacher.

“Who changed my child’s mark?”

Every changed cell keeps the old mark, the new one, who changed it and when. The answer is one click away.

Grace marks need a reason

Grace marks can be given, with a written reason, every time.

After the marks

Locked marks go straight to Report cards and Result analysis, so nobody types them twice.

Devices

Can teachers enter marks from their phone?

Scoolin works in the browser. The grid is easiest on a computer, where it works like a spreadsheet.

Corrections

Can a mark be changed after it is handed in?

Yes, by an exam admin, who reopens the sheet or corrects the cell. The change is kept.

Scaling

Can a paper marked out of 40 count for 10?

Yes. Enter the marks as written; Scoolin scales them.

Import

Can we bring marks in from Excel?

Not yet. Marks are entered in the grid for now.
