School calendar

Holidays, half days and 2nd Saturdays. Set the year once, and attendance, the library and the bells follow it.

How it works

A calendar the rest of the school follows.

The calendar isn’t a poster on the office wall. Every part of Scoolin reads it. Here is a session going in.

Setting the session

  1. Set the week. Sundays off, and every Saturday, the 2nd and 4th, or the 1st and 3rd.
  2. Add the holidays. Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti in one tap; the rest suggested from India’s public holidays.
  3. Add the rest. Half days, exams, PTMs, events and the odd working Saturday.
  4. Choose who it is for. The whole school, or Class 10 alone.
Try it with your own session

Suggested, never added

Public holidays come in each week from Google’s list for India. Scoolin offers them; your office decides.

A sudden holiday, handled

Declare a holiday after attendance is marked and the marks are kept but stop counting, in rates, fines and the timetable.

One count of school days

Attendance, library due dates and fines, leave and the school bells all count the same days.

Questions school offices ask.

Still have questions?Ask us on a 30-minute call.

Classes

Can a day be a holiday for some classes only?

Yes. And a class’s own entry wins: “Class 10 working” stands even when the school is closed.

Printing

Can we print the holiday list?

Yes, ready to paste in the school diary.

Parents

Do parents see the calendar?

Not yet; parent logins are coming. Today staff see it, with a Coming up card on the dashboard.

Notices

Can an event go on the notice board?

Yes. Post any calendar entry to the notice board as you save it.
