Promotion

Every class moves up in one run. The final result decides who repeats, and nothing in this year changes.

How it works

March, without retyping a single class list.

Promotion reads the published results and asks only about the exceptions. Here is a run.

At session end

  1. Open the preview. Every class goes to the next, 8 A to 9 A, and the last class graduates.
  2. Read the results column. Each child’s final result is beside their name. A fail is set to repeat; a compartment moves up.
  3. Mark the exceptions. Repeats or leaves, child by child. Pick another section for any class.
  4. Promote. Next session’s classes fill. This session stays exactly as it was.

Safe to run twice

A double click or a second run skips anyone already placed. Section sizes are checked before you commit.

This year stays put

Children leaving only leave when the new session begins, and their TC can go out one by one or as a group. Their marks, attendance and fees stay under this year’s class.

Next year comes ready

Sections, fee heads and subject groups are copied to the new session. Then even out sections, with girls and boys spread across them.

Results

Does it know who failed?

Yes, from the published final results. A fail is set to repeat, and you can change any child.

Sections

Can we reshuffle sections?

Pick a new section for each section while promoting. After that, move children one by one, or let the balancing tool even out sizes.

Mistakes

What if we promote someone by mistake?

Move the child to the right section from their record. Undoing a whole run isn’t there yet.

Timing

When should we promote?

After the final results are published, before the new session begins.
